Memphis Blue BBQ - Broadway & Granville
If you like the blues from the Delta, a casual atmosphere, BB King on the sound system and on the wall, then this is your place. If you're a carnivore, like feasting on meat, plied with lots of BBQ sauce, then this is your place. If you're a vegan, then maybe not.
It's small - only ten tables. Apparently the BC Lions offensive line eat here. Don't know how they can fit five to eight 300-pounders here, but they have. Don't know if I want to be there when that happens.
This time they weren't there. I had the pulled rib sandwich with BBQ sauce plus a root beer ($13.05). It was not bad but I wasn't really full. The serving was kind of small. Also, are there are any other kinds of sauces, other than BBQ? After a while, everything tastes the same.
One time, we had the big platter, which contained virtually everything on their menu and that was a mountain of a meal. We became mountain-like afterwards. We couldn't move.
It's a good place to fulfill your intake of meat for the year. For fun, bring a vegan.
