Northern Meixi - Crystal Mall - Metrotown area
Located on the 2nd floor of Crystal Mall in Burnaby is this food court serving various asian foods. At the Northern Meixi Restaurant, you can have 5 steamed dumplings (or siu lone bows) for $3.50. The fried dumplings are the same price, while the watercress dumpling noodle in soup cost $4.50.
One cautionary note : watch how you bite into the dumplings or else the soup/juice will squirt out all over you.

Not only can juice squirt out all over you if you don't watch over how you bite, but you can also bite your tongue.
I bit my tongue quite badly while eating a large sandwich a few months ago and it (my tongue, that is) looked so gucky, and I was spitting out and swallowing so much blood, I felt compelled to visit a doctor.
I should explain that I'm the most macho of guys, so that to visit a doctor impugns my masculinity in my eyes, for I'm the quintessentially phlegmatic taciturn Clint Eastwood type of guy.
So you can only imagine how humiliating it was for me to consult a doctor about a bitten tongue. I mean, if Clint Eastwood bit his tongue while eating a large sandwich, would HE see a doctor, know what I'm sayin'?
My self-image as the most manly of men has taken a hit, from which I still have to recover sufficiently to regain my feelings that I am a rock, an island, an island that feels no pain.
